Hello, my name is Ludovico,
I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Laboratoire Atmosphères, Observations Spatiales (LATMOS) in Paris. My research primarily focuses on modelling the aerosol-cloud interactions as part of the European project CERTAINTY (Cloud-aERosol inTeractions & their impActs IN The Earth sYstem). In addition to this, I have a strong interest in wildfire modelling, as well as remote sensing and field campaign observations.
I earned my PhD at the Laboratoire Interuniversitaire des Systèmes Atmosphériques (LISA), with a thesis at the interface between modelling and field campaign measurements titled: "Propriétés, distribution et effet radiatif des aérosols en Ile de France par une approche couplée mesure-modélisation"n within the framework of the Atmospheric ChemistRy Of the Suburban foreSt (ACROSS) project.
I graduated in Atmospheric Science and Technology (Physics) at the University of Roma Sapienza and L’Aquila (joint degree) in October 2020.
Since I was a child, I have been attracted to nature. I grew up in Abruzzo, one of the greenest regions of Italy and Europe, that can offer stunning landscapes (from mountains to sea), excellent wine and food. The interest in protecting the environment, preserving the air quality and a deep passion for hiking, motivated me to choose to study the atmospheric sciences.
